Jörg Immendorf

Oeuvres récentes

Jörg Immendorff’s paintings present the most complex and elusive imagery of recent German art. In contrast to the seductive formulas of Fauvist Expressionism, they are highly problematic. Following in the footsteps of Joseph Beuys, whose work he studied at the Düsseldorf Academy of Fine Arts in the mid-1960s, Immendorff’s work, in turn, takes a moralistic approach to art.
